cHaRmiNg @ 26 mOntHs

ZaC achieved a few milestones this past month. He can sing the alphabet song (although some of the letters are mispronounced), he can count in Mandarin and he finally recognises the different colours! Mummy has been teaching him colours on and off for a few months and ZaC just refused to say the different colours. Just last week, he started recognising the different colours when Mummy bought a poster with colouful lizards. Probably the lizards made him interested!
ZaC speaks in longer sentences now but always uses "You" instead of "I" as he copies what Daddy & Mummy says. Now when he says "Daddy please help you pack up.", Daddy will say, " ZaC, you said it wrongly." ZaC will correct himself, "Daddy please help me pack up."
Mummy hopes he can build up his vocabulary with the different library books and start conversing more in Mandarin (now he sounds like an ang moh speaking Mandarin). Introduction and art & crafts is also in the pipeline.
ZaC has started to ask to self-feed but he usually eats a few mouthfuls and will reject the rest. When he is fed, he eats a lot more esp. when he is also distracted with toys or books. Mummy is apprehensive in allowing him to self feed as his intake will decrease but it is also an important step towards self independence for little ZaC.

sWinGiN' tiMe @ IKEA

Sometimes, Daddy & Mummy will bring ZaC to IKEA during the weekend. He is too young to play in Smaland so he spends time playing in the children's corner. He loves to play at the stove set pretending to cook! This time, he discovered the swings and wanted to try them.

Last weekend, Tan family went to Downtown East to attend a birthday celebration. ZaC was ready for his first swimming session since last year. Yes, he has stopped his weekly swimming session since he was enrolled in childcare. There are 2 main reasons - wet weather and his health status. So, he was really excited to take a plunge into the pool! Daddy & Mummy decided to take him to Wild Wild Wet so he can enjoy the water playground. However, it started to drizzle once we stepped inside. Not wanting to waste the entrance fee (ZaC went in FOC), Daddy bought him a thermal swimsuit to keep him warm (as you know, ZaC usually swims only in his trunks so he can get a good tan - Mummy insists!). Before Daddy & Mummy could decide whether to allow ZaC to play in the light drizzle, the curious fellow wandered into the rain! Not wanting to disappoint ZaC, Daddy & Mummy let him play. ZaC enjoyed the water slides with Daddy and splashing Mummy in the wading pool. He also enjoys watching the huge bucket of water tipping over. There was a good 30mins of play before the rain got bigger and ZaC had to shower and change. ZaC definately wants to go back on a sunny day to play the slides again!

Go-Go Bambini @ Dempsey

ZaC spent an enjoyable afternoon on Good Friday with Godpa & family! ZaC had fun with all the kids @ Go-Go Bambini - an indoor playground. It was ZaC's first time there. As it was a public holiday, the place was packed. ZaC loved the ball pool and has picked up his courage to jump and wriggle among the balls. He even allowed Mummy to 'bury' him with the balls. The slide was very long and dark. Even Mummy was a little frightened. But ZaC was ok with it and even slid down a 2nd time. Some of the kids were rough, so Mummy had to stick around ZaC. Godpa treated ZaC to some french fries, which he loved and kept asking for me. Sweet little Eve also called Daddy & Mummy "Godpa" & Godma" in her tiny voice! By the end of 2 hours, everyone was soaked with prespiration, even the adults. A great workout for all!
